正面描述 Printed in green and black on a light ground, the obverse is framed on all four sides by dense guilloche lace borders. An oval landscape vignette at upper centre presents a river valley scene with tall trees and distant mountains, flanked to the left by an oval portrait vignette of a classically draped young woman with a floral wreath in her hair. The denomination numeral "10" occupies ornate guilloche cartouches at upper left, lower left, lower right, and right centre, while the central text area carries the series and serial number above the denomination legend, with a manuscript date and two signature lines for Gerente and Presidente.

备注

Banco de Cuyo operated out of Mendoza and was one of several provincial banks that briefly flourished under Argentina's decentralized banking regime before the Banco Nacional absorbed or displaced most of them in the 1870s. Provincial notes of this period were frequently refused at par outside their home province, making cross-Andean trade — for which Mendoza was a natural hub — a perpetual negotiation over discount rates.

PS-prefix placement in the Standard Catalog reflects its classification as a private or provincial issue rather than a national one. Surviving examples are genuinely uncommon; Cuyo-region bank paper has not attracted the collector pressure that Buenos Aires issues have, which has kept prices understated relative to actual scarcity.
