Reverse description The reverse depicts a dynamic battle scene commemorating the Battle of Carabobo of 1821. Simón Bolívar is shown in the foreground as an equestrian figure, mounted on a galloping horse and facing right, dressed in military uniform and bicorne hat, brandishing a sword aloft. Behind him, a group of uniformed soldiers advances with fixed bayonets and a furled battle standard. The curved legend 180 ANIVERSARIO DE LA BATALLA DE CARABOBO arcs along the upper periphery, with the date range 1821-2001 inscribed below it in the upper field. The name SIMON BOLIVAR appears in the lower margin.
