| Obverse description | Allegorical female bust facing left, representing the Republic of Chile, her hair elegantly coiffed and adorned with a laurel sprig at the back. The figure is rendered in fine relief in the Art Nouveau style characteristic of engraver Oscar Roty. The legend REPVBLICA DE CHILE arcs around the periphery, with the engraver's signature O. Roty incised in small letters at the base of the neck truncation. A fine toothed border frames the design. |

| Reverse description | The full Chilean national coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield bearing a star, supported on the left by a rearing horse and on the right by a condor with spread wings, both rendered in high relief. A decorative spray of foliage rises above the shield. The denomination DIEZ PESOS arcs across the upper field, while the date appears in the exergue below the arms. The mint mark So appears to the left of the supporters. A fine toothed border frames the entire design. |
