| Obverse description | Unadorned right-facing effigy of King Juan Carlos I, rendered in a naturalistic portrait style with fine hair detail. The bust is truncated at the shoulder and occupies the central field. The circumferential legend JUAN CARLOS I REY DE ESPANA arcs along the upper periphery, interrupted by the portrait, with the mint year positioned in the lower exergual area. A fine inner beaded border frames the design. |
