| Reverse description | A colourised naturalistic depiction of a Hen Harrier (Circus cyaneus) in full flight, wings broadly extended and angled downward, rendered in detailed polychrome colouring showcasing the bird's characteristic pale grey-white plumage, dark wingtips, and yellow talons. The illustration, after Mike Langman, occupies the central field against a plain milled background. The denomination 'TEN PENCE' is inscribed in raised letters along the upper arc, while 'HEN HARRIER' curves along the lower periphery. |

| Additional information |
Guernsey's wildlife decimal series has leaned heavily on the colourisation technique since the 2010s, applying enamel-like surface treatments to standard circulating planchets as a way of generating collector premiums from otherwise modest base-metal issues. The Hen Harrier was chosen partly because of genuine conservation concern — the species had effectively vanished from Guernsey as a breeding bird by the mid-twentieth century, persisting only as an occasional winter visitor.
