| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Charles III, modelled by Glyn Davies, occupying the central field. The portrait features naturalistically rendered hair and a strong profile bust truncated at the shoulder. The circular legend reads CHARLES III • BAILIWICK OF GUERNSEY around the upper periphery, with the date 2023 flanked by two raised dots positioned at the base. The engraver's initials GD appear on the truncation. The overall style is restrained and classical, consistent with contemporary British Commonwealth coinage. |
