| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King Charles III facing left, modelled by Glyn Davies, occupying the central field. The circular legend reads 'KING CHARLES III' at the upper portion and 'ISLE OF MAN' to the right, with the date '2025' inscribed in the lower exergual area flanked by two raised dots. The portrait is rendered in a naturalistic style with fine hair detail, consistent with the standard Isle of Man coinage portrait for Charles III. |

Avebury, not Stonehenge, is the largest megalithic stone circle in the world — a fact that surprises most people encountering it for the first time. The Isle of Man has built a broader definitive series around British prehistoric and natural heritage sites, a departure from the territorially local themes that dominated its coinage through much of the twentieth century. Avebury itself straddles a functioning English village; several of the sarsen stones were buried by medieval inhabitants who feared them as pagan.
