| Obverse description | Printed in brown-orange on an intricate guilloche underprint, the obverse carries the bank title in both Portuguese and Chinese characters along the upper border. A vignette at right depicts a traditional Chinese gateway or ceremonial arch set against a backdrop of foliage, rendered in fine intaglio line work. The large Chinese characters for ten patacas (圓拾) dominate the centre, flanked by the denomination numeral 10 in the corners, with the date, decree reference, and two manuscript signatures of bank officials printed below. |
