Descrizione del dritto	Printed in red on a cream ground, the obverse carries a central vignette of a traditional Timorese village scene with thatched-roof dwellings set among tropical trees, flanked on the right by the Portuguese armillary sphere coat of arms within a laurel wreath. The bank title appears in large letterpress at the top in both Portuguese and Chinese characters, with the denomination rendered in Portuguese and Chinese, the issue date and decree number at centre-right, and two signature lines below.

Descrizione del rovescio	The reverse is printed entirely in red and displays an elaborate guilloche underprint across the full field, with large numeral "10" counters at left and right, each accompanied by the Chinese character for ten (拾) above and the Chinese character for dollar (圓) below. At centre, an oval vignette encloses a steamship at sea encircled by the legend BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO / COLONIAS, COMMERCIO, AGRICULTURA, surmounted by the bank name and the payability inscription PAGAVEL NA COLONIA DE TIMOR. The denomination DEZ PATACAS is set in bold letterpress below the central vignette.
