Below the tughra, the regnal year numeral '4' (٤) appears in Arabic script, indicating the fourth year of the sultan's reign. The entire design is enclosed within a finely executed beaded border running along the coin's periphery. The overall composition is characteristic of mid-19th century Ottoman minting at Constantinople. |

The Hijri accession year '١٢٧٧' (1277 AH) is inscribed in the lower portion of the circular legend.
