| Obverse description | The elaborate calligraphic tughra of Sultan Abdülaziz occupies the central field, rendered in the intricate Ottoman imperial monogram style with prominent vertical strokes (tuğ) rising above the interlaced body of the cipher. Below the tughra, the regnal year numeral '4' (٤) appears in Arabic script, indicating the fourth year of the sultan's reign. The entire design is enclosed within a finely executed beaded border running along the coin's periphery. The overall composition is characteristic of mid-19th century Ottoman minting at Constantinople. |

| Reverse description | The central field bears the large Arabic numeral '١٠' (10), denoting the denomination in para. A continuous circular Arabic legend surrounds the central value, reading the pious phrase 'عز نصره' (May his victory be glorious) and the mint name 'ضرب في اسطنبول' (Struck in Constantinople). The Hijri accession year '١٢٧٧' (1277 AH) is inscribed in the lower portion of the circular legend.
