| Obverse description | The obverse displays the Arabic legend 'جمهورية مصر' (Republic of Egypt) in stylised calligraphic script arching across the upper field. The denomination '١٠' (10) is prominently rendered in large Eastern Arabic numerals at centre, with the word 'مليمات' (Milliemes) inscribed below. Dual dates appear in the lower field, presented in both the Hijri calendar (١٣٧٧) to the right and the Gregorian calendar (١٩٥٨) to the left. The entire design is framed by a continuous inner beaded border running along the coin's periphery. |

| Reverse description | The reverse features a large, boldly rendered three-quarter profile view of the Great Sphinx of Giza occupying the majority of the field, depicted facing right with the characteristic nemes headdress and ceremonial beard rendered in fine incised detail. The forepart of the Sphinx's body, showing the layered chest and paws, extends across the lower portion of the design, conveying the monument's monumental scale. The field is otherwise plain, lending prominence to the central motif. A small Arabic numeral legend '١.٤' appears in the lower exergue area beneath the Sphinx. The design is enclosed by an inner beaded border consistent with the obverse. |
