Obverse description The obverse is printed in olive-green and black intaglio on cream paper, with an oval portrait vignette of Emperor Pedro II at the left, rendered in fine line engraving. The Brazilian Imperial coat of arms is displayed centrally at the top between elaborate guilloche scrollwork, flanked by denomination numerals '10' in the upper corners and at lower left.
