| Description de l’avers | Green guilloche underprint covers the field, with the denomination '10 Mark' repeated in the four corners and along both lateral margins within a scrollwork border. A small vignette of Altona's city gate with twin spires is centred between the Gothic-script title 'Aushilfsschein der Stadt Altona' and the large blackletter denomination 'Zehn Mark'. Below, a multi-line letterpress text in German states the conditions of acceptance, dated 'Altona, den 2. November 1918', and four facsimile signatures of municipal officials appear at the foot. |

| Description du revers | The reverse is printed in green on paper with a repeating 'Stadt Altona' guilloche underprint arranged in vertical bands. A central letterpress vignette consists of symmetrical floral and acanthus-scroll ornaments framing the denomination numeral '10' above the word 'Mark' in blackletter script, surmounted by a ribbon cartouche. The whole is enclosed within a chain-link scrollwork border, and the printer's imprint 'H. W. Köbner & Co. G. m. b. H., Altona' appears in small type at the foot. |
