| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Lesotho occupies the central field, featuring a shield charged with a crocodile and flanked by two rearing horses as supporters, all set upon a decorative base with a scroll bearing the national motto KHOTSO PULA NALA. The legend KINGDOM OF LESOTHO arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 10 MALOTI is inscribed along the lower periphery. A mintmaster's mark is visible to the lower left of the arms. The entire design is framed by a distinctive reeded border of semicircular indentations. |
