| Obverse description | The left portion carries an intaglio bust portrait of Ștefan cel Mare (Stephen the Great), Prince of Moldavia, wearing an ornate crown, set against an intricate guilloche underprint in orange and cream tones. At centre, a large circular guilloche rosette bears the numeral "10" above the denomination "ZECE LEI" in raised intaglio lettering, flanked by the state arms of Moldova and the bank's monogram cipher at upper right. A circular anti-counterfeiting seal with foliate vignette and the verse "PE-UN PICIOR DE PLAI, PE-O GURĂ DE RAI..." appears at lower right, accompanied by the Governor's signature and the issue year. |
