| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse is divided into two distinct zones by an elliptical frame. The left half of the field displays finely engraved reproductions of historic Romanian coins from 1870, including a 1 Leu and a 20 Lei piece bearing the effigy of Prince Carol I, rendered in a matte finish to evoke aged silver. Within the polished mirror ellipse on the right, the contemporary facade of the State Mint building in Bucharest is depicted in relief above the large denomination numerals '10 LEI'. The Romanian coat of arms appears to the lower right of the building, and the date '2015' is inscribed vertically along the right border. The legend 'ROMANIA' arcs along the left margin of the ellipse, with a dotted border encircling the entire design. |
