正面铭文 Stord herad

Ti kroner
Stord formannskap 1940.
背面描述 The reverse of this wartime municipal emergency note is plain and unprinted, consistent with the expedient production methods employed by Norwegian municipalities isolated during the German occupation of 1940. The note was issued in denominations of 1, 2, 5 and 10 kroner as locally produced 'Trygdesetlar' to address the acute shortage of circulating currency.

备注

Stord Herad issued this note in 1940 as a direct consequence of the German invasion of Norway in April of that year, which severely disrupted normal banking operations and coin supply across the country. Dozens of Norwegian municipalities, savings banks, and cooperatives produced their own emergency scrip during this period — the so-called nødpenger — and Stord's issue is among the more locally produced examples, printed on the island itself rather than farmed out to a commercial printer.

The Skaare reference places it firmly within the documented Norwegian emergency currency corpus, though survivor numbers are modest given the improvised nature of the issue and its short intended lifespan.
