The portrait is executed in high relief with refined die-work characteristic of mid-18th-century Habsburg minting practice. A standard milled border frames the design at the coin's periphery. |

The peripheral legend, interrupted by a small cross at the apex, reads AR AU DUX BU ME P to the left and TRAN CO TY followed by the mint year to the right, collectively abbreviating Archidux Austriae, Dux Burgundiae Mediolani, Princeps Transilvaniae, Comes Tyrolis. |
