Obverse description A central vignette presents an engraved view of the Chain Bridge (Széchenyi Lánchíd) in Budapest with Buda Castle visible on the hill beyond, set against an intricate guilloche underprint in teal and brown. The denomination TIZ KORONA. is rendered in large bold letterpress text beneath the vignette, flanked on either side by elaborate oval guilloche medallions bearing the numeral 10. The statutory text and date of issue appear in the lower central panel, with a facsimile signature of the Pénzügyminiszter (Minister of Finance) above the anti-counterfeiting warning at the foot of the note.

Reverse description The Hungarian state arms appear at the right, while the face value TÍZ KORONA is printed in large bold text at the centre. The denomination is additionally expressed in five other languages in smaller text arranged above and below the central value, catering to the multilingual population of the former kingdom. The overall layout is framed by a guilloche border consistent with the obverse design.
