Obverse description Crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed in the centre of the field, with wings spread and each head surmounted by a small crown, the whole ensemble surmounted by a large imperial crown with ribbons. The eagle bears the traditional emblems of the Russian Empire on its breast shield. The design is executed in high relief with fine engraving typical of the late Imperial period under Tsar Nicholas II (r. 1894–1917). The field is plain, with no legend on this face beyond the mintmaster initials appearing on marked varieties.

Reverse description Central field bears the numeral denomination '10' flanked by a six-pointed star on each side, with the Cyrillic legend 'КОПѢЕКЪ' (Kopecks) in bold letters below, and the date in Arabic numerals at the bottom. A decorative horizontal rule with dot ornaments separates the denomination from the date. The entire composition is enclosed within a wreath of laurel and oak branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow, surmounted by the imperial crown at the apex. The coin's rim is defined by a fine toothed border running around the entire circumference.
