Описание аверса	The coat of arms of the Federal Republic of Nigeria occupies the central field, depicting a black eagle displayed atop a heraldic shield supported by two rearing horses as dexter and sinister supporters. A floral compartment of native costus flowers forms the base, and a scroll beneath bears the national motto in the legend. The circular inscription 'FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA' arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by two small raised dots at the lower field. The date of issue appears in large numerals at the bottom of the field below the supporters.
