备注

Wachau Notgeld from this period sits at the intersection of local fiscal desperation and deliberate collectibility. By 1920, many Austrian municipalities were issuing artistically ambitious emergency scrip partly because collector demand had become a secondary revenue stream — notes were sold unused to philatelists, which is precisely why fine unirculated examples survive in such numbers today.

Rubso & Sper were a Vienna printing house active in the Notgeld boom, handling numerous small-denomination regional commissions in this period. Walter Prinzl credited as both designer and engraver suggests in-house or single-artist plate work — less common than the split-credit arrangements typical of larger print runs.
