The 10 Heller denomination places this firmly in the Austrian notgeld tradition rather than the German, where Pfennig subdivisions were standard. Kirchheim in Styria was among hundreds of parishes that printed their own fractional paper to keep local commerce moving after silver and copper coins simply disappeared from circulation.
