| 裏面の説明 | Printed in blue on white paper, the reverse carries a central oval vignette at the top showing a silhouetted rural ploughing scene with a farmer, ox, and cross against a clouded sky, flanked by sprigs of holly and wheat ears. Below, two lines of verse in ornate script read 'In Kleingeldnot und Kriegesleide, ward ich gedruckt zur Sammlers Freude.' A block of text in German states the conditions of issue and the redemption date of 30 November 1920, with the denomination numeral '10' in a sunburst circle at lower centre. The Bürgermeister's facsimile signature appears at lower right. The whole is framed within a geometric and foliate letterpress border. |

Edt bei Lambach is a small Upper Austrian village, and this Heller note is one of thousands of municipal Notgeld issues that flooded Austria in 1920–21 when small-denomination coins disappeared almost entirely from circulation. What distinguishes the better Gemeinde issues from mere fiscal stopgaps is the involvement of a named designer — L. Haase worked out of Linz and contributed to several regional issues, which gives this note a degree of intentional craft unusual for emergency municipal paper.
Signed personally by Bürgermeister Josef Kaukerl, whose authority extended to perhaps a few hundred residents.
