| Opmerkingen |
Aichkirchen is a small Upper Austrian market commune that, like hundreds of others, issued its own emergency small change during the coin shortage that gripped Austria from 1920 onward. These Notgeld pieces filled a genuine transactional gap — federal coinage had effectively disappeared from daily commerce, hoarded or melted, and municipalities were left to improvise. Josef Feichtingers Erben was a well-established Linz printing house that handled a significant volume of Upper Austrian municipal Notgeld, which gives this note its clean, professionally typeset appearance despite the circumstances of its creation.
The single authorizing signature belongs to the Bürgermeister Kettlgruber.
