The legend CHARLES III arcs along the upper left periphery, with the regnal dates 1856 · 1889 continuing along the upper right. The engraver's signature DELANNOY appears in small capitals beneath the truncation of the bust, and the denomination 10 FRANCS is inscribed along the lower periphery. The whole is enclosed within a beaded border. |
