Reverse description Within a beaded inner circle, a vertically oriented sword is flanked by a crossed musket and cannon arranged diagonally behind it, all enclosed within a laurel wreath. A monogram, likely that of the commandant, appears at the base of the central design. The date '1813' is inscribed in the lower exergual area. The encircling peripheral legend reads the siege declaration, separated by dot stops, in the same crude but legible engraving characteristic of this emergency issue.
