| 背面描述 | A stylized reproduction of the iconic Athenian owl tetradrachm design, featuring a frontal-facing owl with large round eyes standing upright at center, an olive sprig and crescent moon to the upper left. The Greek inscription 'AΘE' appears to the right of the owl, referencing Athens. The date '2006' is inscribed in the lower exergue in Latin numerals, and the entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. |

One of several issues in the DRC's long-running program of struck bullion and novelty coins produced almost entirely for the collector export market — the country has never had a functioning franc-denominated gold circulation economy. The series exploits the Congo's nominal sovereignty to license internationally popular numismatic themes, in this case the Athenian owl tetradrachm, one of the ancient world's most widely traded coins.
At 0.5 grams, the gold content is effectively fractional novelty weight, closer to a charm than a bullion piece.
