备注

When Germany occupied Luxembourg in May 1940, the existing franc-denominated currency was retained rather than immediately replaced — a calculated move that allowed economic absorption without triggering immediate public alarm. This note, printed by Giesecke & Devrient in Leipzig, was issued under that transitional arrangement, during which the Luxembourg franc was pegged at a fixed rate to the Reichsmark and effectively subordinated to the German war economy.

By 1941, the franc was abolished entirely and the Reichsmark imposed outright. Notes from this brief occupation-issue period circulated for little more than a year before being withdrawn.
