Benin has no historical connection to the Tiger tank — this is a privately marketed "coin" issued under a licensing arrangement that exploits Benin's membership in the West African CFA franc zone, where a nominal face value can be assigned to objects with no genuine monetary function. The "Stainless steel (Paper)" composition notation signals exactly what this is: a laminated collectible card with metallic elements, not a struck coin in any meaningful sense. The KM reference notwithstanding, Krause's inclusion of such issues remains contested among serious catalogers.
