| 裏面の説明 | The denomination '10 FRANCS' is boldly displayed in two lines at the centre of the field, with the country name 'TUNISIE' inscribed above in large Latin capitals. The numeral '10' is rendered in a larger font size, dominating the central space. Elaborate scrolling floral and foliate arabesque ornaments flank the numeral on either side and appear as decorative borders at the top and bottom of the design, executed in a style harmonising French Art Deco with North African decorative motifs. A fine beaded inner border runs along the coin's periphery. |

Ahmad II ibn Muhammad ruled as Bey of Tunis under French protectorate from 1929 until his death in 1942, with his coinage authority tightly constrained by Paris. The .680 fine silver specification — noticeably below the .835 standard common to metropolitan French issues of the same period — reflects a deliberate colonial monetary policy that kept Tunisian silver coinage chemically distinct from French domestic currency, discouraging parity arbitrage between the protectorate and the metropole.
The Paris Mint struck this series across five consecutive years, an unusually sustained run for a protectorate issue of this denomination.
