Reverse description Central circle in the field contains the denomination numeral '١٠' (10) above the word 'فلس' (Fils), all within a raised circular frame. Radiating from the central circle are ornamental lines dividing the field into sections, each containing elements of the Arabic inscription. The Hijri year '١٣٥٧' appears to the right and the Christian year '١٩٣٨' to the left in Eastern Arabic numerals. The words 'المملكة' (Kingdom) appear at the top and 'العراقية' (of Iraq) at the bottom, completing the full legend around the central device within the characteristic twelve-lobed scalloped border.
