| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a highly detailed, portrait-style depiction of a young pig standing squarely facing the viewer, rendered in high relief with fine surface detailing conveying the animal's texture and form. To the right of the pig, the Chinese character '豬' (meaning 'pig') is inscribed in the field. The central design is enclosed within a circular border decorated with low-relief zodiac animal motifs consistent with the obverse. Along the lower arc of the coin, the inscription '2019 ANNÉE DU COCHON' curves within the outer legend border, identifying the commemorated year and zodiac animal. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Part of the Monnaie de Paris lunar series aimed squarely at the Asian collector market, the 2019 issue coincides with the Year of the Pig under the Chinese sexagenary cycle — a year associated in Chinese tradition with wealth and good fortune, which the French mint has leaned into commercially since launching the series. The pig year recurs every twelve years, making 2019 the first such issue under this particular series format from Paris.
