| Obverse description | The obverse features a circular inner field displaying two stylized pig figures facing one another beneath the monogram 'RF' (République Française) and a decorative crossbar element, all set within an ornate border. Surrounding this central medallion, the field is densely populated with low-relief depictions of all twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac, arranged in a radiating composition across the coin's surface. The years 2018 through 2029 are inscribed along the outer border, each corresponding to a zodiac cycle year, flanking the central design.
