| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Estonia is centrally displayed, depicting a shield charged with three blue leopards passant guardant on a golden field, supported by crossed oak branches with acorns and leaves rendered in high relief. The legend EESTI VABARIIK arcs across the upper field in bold capital letters, while the date 2018 appears in the lower field. The design is executed in proof finish with a deeply mirrored field contrasting against frosted relief elements. |

| Additional information |
Estonia joined the Winter Olympics for the first time as an independent post-Soviet state in 1992, but the country's winter sports history runs considerably deeper — Estonian athletes competed under the Soviet flag for decades, and cross-country skiing has held a near-cultural status in the country since the early twentieth century. The 2018 Pyeongchang Games, which this coin commemorates, saw Estonia field a small but competitive team with genuine medal expectations in the skiing disciplines.
KM#87 is a relatively straightforward commemorative issue from Eesti Pank's modern collector series.
