| Obverse description | The celebrated Sower figure, based on Louis-Oscar Roty's iconic design, strides purposefully to the left in high relief against a mirror-polished field, scattering seed with her outstretched right hand while carrying a satchel in her left. The design is framed by a stylized arc evocative of a euro coin border, with twelve five-pointed stars of the European Union arranged along the periphery. To the left of the figure, horizontal lines in the field recall the aesthetic of euro coinage, while the country monogram 'RF' appears in a recessed rectangular cartouche to the right. The date '20 10' is split on either side of the lower field, flanking the Sower. |

| Reverse description | The reverse features a central composition of an olive branch and two ears of wheat, motifs drawn directly from the reverses of classic French franc coins including the 1 centime, ½ franc, 1 franc, 2 franc, and 5 franc pieces. Encircling the upper listel is the commemorative legend 'CINQUANTIÈME ANNIVERSAIRE DU NOUVEAU FRANC', rendered in the typographic style of the historic 1 centime coinage. The dual dates '1960 2010' appear prominently in the field, marking the fiftieth anniversary of the Franc Pinay, also known as the Franc de Gaulle, introduced by the monetary reform of 1960. The denomination '10 EURO' is inscribed in the lower portion of the reverse. |
