Aanvullende informatie

Issued on the 25th anniversary of the Spanish Constitution of 1978, which was ratified by referendum on December 6th of that year — the first democratic constitution Spain had adopted since the Second Republic's 1931 document was suspended under Franco. The 1978 constitution passed with roughly 88% of the vote, though turnout was notably lower in the Basque Country, where political tensions with the new framework ran deep.

The Royal Mint produced numerous commemorative issues across the late 1990s and early 2000s tied to constitutional milestones. Collector demand for this specific anniversary year tends to be modest; the series is wide and the individual pieces rarely scarce.
