| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Malta occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing a heraldic cross on the dexter chief and vertical stripes on the sinister, surmounted by a mural crown with five visible towers. The shield is flanked by two olive branches joined at the base, with a scroll beneath bearing the legend REPUBBLIKA TA' MALTA. The country name MALTA appears to the left of the arms along the inner border, and the date 2022 to the right. The outer border is decorated with twelve five-pointed stars in relief against a polished field. |
