The "Heavenly Messengers" series ran for three years, with Raphael completing the archangel trilogy following Michael (2016) and Gabriel (2017). Austrian base-metal collector issues of this type are struck in niobium-centered bimetallic formats for premium releases, but the straight copper format here places this squarely in the lower-tier commemorative bracket — mass-produced, broadly distributed, and not subject to mintage constraints that might otherwise create scarcity. Raphael's association with healing derives primarily from the deuterocanonical Book of Tobit, where he accompanies Tobias and cures his father's blindness.
