Switzerland never joined the Eurozone, but between 2003 and 2004 a private initiative produced a series of unofficial euro-denomination pattern pieces colloquially dubbed the "Toblerone Edition" — named for the triangular Alpine mountain motif borrowing visual associations from the famous confectionery brand.
