Beschrijving voorzijde Fantasy note modelled on the first series Europa 10 euro design, printed in violet and red tones. The central vignette presents a Romanesque archway rendered in fine intaglio-style engraving, flanked by a guilloche underprint with scattered EU stars; the large numeral "10" appears in the upper right. A holographic-style stripe runs along the right margin bearing repeated "10" and euro-sign devices, while the EU flag vignette occupies the upper left corner and the denomination "10 EURO / EΥΡΩ" is printed in red at lower left.

Opmerkingen

The "Plata Plomo" specimen is not an official ECB issue. The phrase — Spanish slang with narco-political overtones, roughly "silver or lead," the ultimatum attributed to Pablo Escobar — marks this as a novelty or fantasy piece produced outside any central bank authority. The Euro did not enter circulation until January 2002; a 2001-dated Euro note of any kind warrants immediate scrutiny, and this one does not survive it.

No legitimate specimen Euro from this period carries Spanish-language branding of this type.
