| Obverse description | Left-facing effigy of King Albert II occupies the central field, rendered in high relief after a portrait by engraver Jan Alfons Keustermans. The king's royal monogram — a capital letter 'A' surmounted by a crown with the Roman numeral 'II' below — appears within the design. The portrait is encircled by the twelve stars of the European Union, evenly spaced around the rim. The date of issue appears in the field alongside the royal cypher. |

| Reverse description | The reverse features the revised European Union map design, introduced in 2007 to reflect the expanded EU membership beyond the original fifteen nations, with the map depicted in relief against a lined background. The denomination '10 EURO CENT' is inscribed in bold lettering to the left of the map. The designer's initials 'LL' (for Luc Luycx) appear at the lower right of the design. Six horizontal lines traverse the globe-like map field, and the overall composition follows the common reverse type standardised across all eurozone member states. |
