Aanvullende informatie

Ireland adopted the euro on January 1, 2002, replacing the Irish pound after a fixed conversion rate of 0.787564 punts per euro had been locked in since 1999. The "2nd map" designation refers to the revised reverse design introduced across the eurozone in 2007, when the original fifteen-country EU map was replaced with a full geographic depiction of Europe — a change prompted by the 2004 enlargement that had rendered the original design politically awkward. Irish euro cent issues from this run are largely unremarkable from a collector standpoint, with annual circulation figures keeping most dates common.
