Reverse description The reverse displays the large numeral '10' prominently in the right portion of the field, with the denomination inscription 'EURO CENT' set in two lines beneath it. To the left, a relief map of the European Union in its post-2007 configuration occupies the field, with the member states shown in raised relief against a ribbed background representing the broader continent. Six vertical lines of stars arc along the left margin, referencing the EU flag motif. The engraver's initials 'LL' for Luc Luycx appear to the lower right of the map. This second-series reverse design was introduced across the eurozone in 2007 to reflect the enlarged membership of the European Union.
