| Description de l’avers | Three-quarter length effigy of György Rákóczi I facing right, depicted in richly ornamented Hungarian princely regalia including an elaborately jewelled and fur-trimmed hat with feather plume, a heavily decorated mantle fastened with a brooch, and holding a sceptre in his right hand. The figure is rendered in high relief with fine detail typical of the Transylvanian hammered gold multiple-ducat tradition. A beaded inner border frames the design, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery of the field. |

| Description du revers | Crowned quartered coat of arms of the Principality of Transylvania at centre, displaying the traditional heraldic divisions including the Transylvanian eagle, the seven fortresses, and the sun and moon motifs, with the NB mintmark of Nagybánya flanking the lower portion of the shield. The elaborate crown surmounting the arms is rendered in fine detail. The date 1647 appears in the upper portion of the field, and the Latin legend encircles the composition within a beaded border, reading from the upper left in a continuous band. |
