| 背面描述 | A tiger in full profile strides to the right within a raised inner circle, rendered in fine detail with pronounced musculature and striping. Above the tiger, within the circle, the Chinese cyclical year characters 丙寅 (Bǐng Yín, corresponding to the Year of the Tiger) are inscribed in the field. Surrounding the inner circle, eleven additional animals of the Chinese zodiac — rat, ox, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig — are depicted in high relief forming a decorative border. The denomination '10 DOLLARS' is incused in bold lettering along the lower arc between the inner circle and the coin's rim. |

Singapore's lunar series began in 1967 and the 1986 Tiger issue marks the third full cycle of the twelve-year zodiac sequence produced by the mint. The .500 fineness is notably lower than the .999 silver used by most contemporary sovereign lunar programs — a deliberate cost decision that kept the series accessible to regional collectors during a period when Singapore was still consolidating its position as Southeast Asia's primary numismatic market.
The KM#59a designation distinguishes this proof striking from the business strike KM#59, both produced the same year.
