| Reverse description | A finely detailed rabbit, the subject animal of the Chinese lunar zodiac cycle for 1987, is depicted in profile facing right within a raised inner circle at the centre of the field. Above the rabbit, the Chinese cyclical characters 丁卯 denote the sexagenary year designation. Surrounding the inner circle is a broad annular border populated with relief depictions of all twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac arranged in sequence. The denomination legend 10 DOLLARS curves along the lower portion of the border between the inner circle and the rim. |
