| 背面描述 | The reverse features a full-color rectangular vignette applied to the center of the field, depicting a historical scene commemorating Simon Bolivar's War of 1819, with Bolivar mounted on a white horse leading troops through a crowd of soldiers and civilians. A decorative chain motif frames the vignette above and below. The legend MOMENTS is inscribed in raised letters along the upper arc, while OF FREEDOM appears along the lower arc, together forming the series title MOMENTS OF FREEDOM. The caption SIMON BOLIVARS' WAR – 1819 appears in white lettering within the color panel. |

Liberia's prolific commemorative coinage program of the late 1990s and early 2000s was largely driven by overseas licensing arrangements, with designs conceived and marketed primarily by European and American dealers rather than the Liberian government itself. This coin, ostensibly honoring the 1819 campaigns of Simón Bolívar, has no meaningful connection to Liberia — the country issued hundreds of such pieces across these years simply because its mint authority could be licensed cheaply.
Bolívar's 1819 campaign culminated in the Battle of Boyacá on August 7th, which effectively secured Colombian independence from Spain in a single afternoon's fighting.
