| 背面描述 | A detailed cartographic rendering of the islands of Trinidad and Tobago occupies the central field, flanked by a swordfish to the left and a dolphin to the right, with a sailing vessel depicted between them, all set above stylized ocean waves. The island names TRINIDAD and TOBAGO are inscribed in the upper field flanking the map composition. The denomination 10 DOLLARS is presented in bold lettering along the lower periphery, below the wave motif. |

Trinidad and Tobago's silver proof issues of this period were tied directly to the oil boom that followed the 1973 OPEC crisis — the country's petroleum revenues surged so dramatically through the mid-to-late 1970s that the government had both the foreign exchange reserves and the institutional appetite to commission prestige numismatic products for the international collector market. The Franklin Mint held the contract for much of this output.
The .925 standard was chosen to align with established international proof coin conventions, making the series more marketable abroad than domestically, where these pieces saw no meaningful circulation.
